Climate policy around the world has integrated key elements of industrial policy, marking a significant change from relying solely on market-based mechanisms to driving down emissions to now focusing more on building out key clean industry sectors–from heat pumps to batteries to steel. In this session, civil society representatives from the US, Brazil, Canada, and the UK (and potentially others) will present on the successes and challenges of each of their nation’s efforts towards clean industrial policy, and then engage in a discussion on how future efforts can unfold.
